Shadow Shot Sunday: Cherry Laurel

Cherry laurel is poking through the fence of Tameside Caravans casting shadows on Russell Street.

For a closer view and more information about cherry laurel see Hyde DP Xtra.

For a wider view of the street see Geograph.

  1. The blossoms are lovely and make wonderful shadows. And I like the way the fence extends the shadow further up the street.

  2. The shadows of the flowering shrub are welcome. It looks of Spring, and the shadows enhance the roadway in need of fresh paint. Wonderful capture of a fine season!

In Reynard Street, on the Tameside Caravans' building, the first letter of the second word on the 'Tameside Caravans' sign has been missing for as long as I can remember. Long time no 'C'?

  5. I like this cheery ShadowShot! Just went over to read your blurb on Cherry Laurel. Sounds like it is what we call Noxious weeds here in Idaho. They take over and force out the native plants. It looks pretty though. We have something here called Knapweed and it is actually quite pretty, but a real source of trouble.

  7. Shadows are very magical things. Before I put my image online on my blog, I posted a photo of my shadow as the first step. Which was quite crafty as my shadow is much slimmer than me!
