ABC Wednesday: Y is for Yogi's

Yogi's newsagents and off licence is on Grosvenor Road. When new houses were constructed below Grosvenor Road in the 60s or thereabouts a row of six shops was built.

The shops included a butchers, greengrocers, hairdressers and fish and chip shop. Now the only one left thriving is Yogi's convenience store.

  2. Interesting shot and post. I find it so interestinging because of the black and white photo and no 'qualifying' information, you don't really know when or where it was taken (except for the "Hyde Daily". Very cool.

  10. I wonder if Boo Boo helps out now and again, although Yogi is supposed to be smarter than the average bear, so running an 'offy' should be a breeze.
